Glendi Herrera will be graduating from E.L Haynes High School. During her four years at the high school, she was an active member of The League of United Latin American Citizens and served as president. During her 10th grade year, she was a teaching assistant at Bancroft Elementary where she worked with students in pre-kindergarten. Glendi spent the summer before her senior year training to be an AP Language study group leader and completing a law internship with Leadership Initiatives. She strived to challenge herself academically and took several advanced placement classes. Glendi also took advantage of E.L. Haynes’ dual enrollment program and completed a UDC course on psychology her sophomore year. Since then, Glendi has been a Collegiate Directions Incorporation scholar. She is a proud first-generation student and next year plans to continue her studies at Georgetown University.
