Ivone Cherif is a graduating senior at Benjamin Banneker Academic Highschool. Throughout high school, she has demonstrated outstanding qualities as a leader by demonstrating her commitment to her education and her compassion for others. Ivone has spent her time well, spending four years working at Martha’s Table serving food for the homeless, writing letters to the elderly during the pandemic, and volunteering as a social media intern for the College Bound program. She has been awarded many academic honors, including maintaining a constant presence on the Honor Roll, Principal’s Accommodation list, and perfect attendance. She has also been recognized for a National French Exam award and has accumulated 270 community service hours. She will be attending George Washington University in the fall, where her love for history, current events, and math has inspired her to major in Economics. In her free time, she enjoys reading books, hanging out with friends, and learning how to cook new dishes.
