CLE Seminar: Lunar/Cislunar 101: Space Communications Infrastructure, Global Coordination and International Law

The FCBA Space and Global Communications Ad Hoc Committee will sponsor a CLE on Thursday, November 2 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. ET entitled Lunar/Cislunar 101:  Space Communications Infrastructure, Global Coordination and International Law.  This program will be held virtually via the Zoom platform.

The FCBA will apply for 2.0 hours of MCLE credit from the VA Bar.  This program has not yet been approved.

FCBA no longer offers CA MCLE credit to attendees.  If you wish to obtain CA credit, you must apply for it on your own.  FCBA will, however, provide a generic certificate of attendance that may be used.  Please click here for more information on the CA Bar Standards for MCLE Activity Approval and Requirements.

TO THE MOON AND BACK The time has come ­where industry, government, and other public or private participants will utilize new and innovative communications infrastructure in Lunar/Cislunar space—the large region in the Earth-Moon system beyond geosynchronous (GEO) orbit, including the Moon.  This CLE 101 will give participants the basics of Lunar/Cislunar developments and discuss recent deployments of space communications infrastructure, such as 5G wireless connections.  The CLE will also discuss global coordination and the growing international law governing Lunar/Cislunar infrastructure today and in the future.
