The FCBA International Telecommunications Committee will sponsor a CLE on Monday, January 13, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. ET entitled Supplementing Terrestrial Coverage from Space: Views from Administrations and the Industry. Where are we now and what to expect in the future? The program will be held virtually via the Zoom platform.
The first half of the program will begin with a high-level overview of the FCC’s Supplemental Coverage from Space Report and Order and feature international administrations to provide information on their respective country’s approach to SCS. Topics will include status of their domestic regulations, potential roadblocks they foresee or are currently experiencing and their expectation from the ITU. Panel 2 will feature industry representatives to provide information on their respective approach to SCS. Topics will include differences between the SCS and MSS regulatory frameworks, status of their deployments, potential roadblocks they foresee or are currently experiencing.
The FCBA will apply for 2.0 hours of MCLE credit from the VA Bar. This program has not yet been approved.
